The All New Youtube!

The All New Youtube!

I am sure you will agree with me about the fact that Youtube really needed a change over. After Google redesigned its product pages it was time to do something with Youtube's interface. Initially, the video page(where you watch the videos) was changed totally from the classic look to the modern one. It looked good but, as usual, the ads are annoying when they popup on the right side of the video. Today I noticed the home page totally changed !

According to the Google Blog, the new home page makes it easier for us to find and follow the Channels we want to. On the left side of the homepage we can organize the channels and put it the way we want it to be. Most importantly, we can even connect our Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Orkut and Myspace account to see what our friends and relatives are sharing.

The All New Youtube!

The whole point of this change is everything is now organized and we have the liberty to do what we want to.

Apart from redesigning the homepage, Google updated the look and feel of the channels. If you have your own channel, upgrade it to have the new design and see it for yourself ! I personally hated my channel because of its ancient design and looks. But through this change, I guess I'll use youtube even more. Upload more videos and make it a video blog! Now if you do not like the new design, you have the option to change back to the old look! Just go to 'Edit Channels' and there you will find "Change Back to the old channels design' I am pretty sure no one will do it !

The All New Youtube!

I must say great makeover. This would enable more people not only watch videos here but also encourage them to upload their videos! The look might change because this is just in beta and Google is now relying on Feedback! So do leave a feedback about the new look!

Check out the video below regarding the change! Well, I did not get why many people disliked the video ! It's all good!

What about you ? Like the change ? Post your comments below

APPLE IPAD 3 LIKELY TO ARRIVE IN 3 MONTHS

APPLE IPAD 3, apple, iPad 3, ipad3, new tablet, tablet

There are chances of Apple planning to release the next generation of their iPad in the first quarter of next year. According to DigiTimes, sources within the supply chain for the company have started to ship out parts and components for Apple's new tablet and they have claimed that the iPad 3 will arrive in the market in the next 3-4 months. Also, the OEM production of the iPad 2 will stay at 14-15 million units around the month of December following which it will slowly drop off to 4-5 million units in Q1 of 2012 to give way for the production and release of the iPad 3, a trend that Apple have followed for all their devices, so far.

The original iPad was launched in April 2010, whilst its successor, the iPad 2 was released in March 2011. If the timeline does have a similar pattern for the iPad 3, then the chances of us seeing the new tablet in the first quarter of 2012 are pretty high. That it'll come; sooner or later, is what we'll have to wait and see. What features do you think should be a pre-requisite in the iPad 3? Let us know in the comments section below.

Ten Longest Bridges In World

Here is a list of the ten longest bridges in the world with pictures and descriptions. Those beautiful photos are showing to us that there are no borders and everything is reachable. 10. Seven Mile Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Seven Mile Bridge, in the Florida Keys, runs over a channel between the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Strait, connecting Key Vaca (the location of the city of Marathon, Florida) in the Middle Keys to Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys. Among the longest bridges in existence when it was built, it is one of the many bridges on US 1 in the Keys, where the road is called the Overseas Highway.9. San Mateo-Hayward Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The San Mateo-Hayward Bridge (commonly called San Mateo Bridge) is a bridge crossing California's San Francisco Bay in the United States, linking the San Francisco Peninsula with the East Bay. More specifically, the bridge's western end is in Foster City, the most recent urban addition to the eastern edge of San Mateo. The eastern end of the bridge is in Hayward. The bridge is owned by the state of California, and is maintained by Caltrans, the state highway agency. 8. Confederation Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Confederation Bridge (French: Pont de la Confédération) is a bridge spanning the Abegweit Passage of Northumberland Strait, linking Prince Edward Island with mainland New Brunswick, Canada. It was commonly referred to as the "Fixed Link" by residents of Prince Edward Island prior to its official naming. Construction took place from the fall of 1993 to the spring of 1997, costing $1.3 billion. The 12.9-kilometre (8 mi) long bridge opened on 31 May 1997.7. Rio-Niteroi Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Rio-Niteroi Bridge is a reinforced concrete structure that connects the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi in Brazil. Construction began symbolically on August 23, 1968, in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in their first and thus far only visit to Brazil. Actual work begun in January, 1969, and it opened on March 4, 1974. Its official name is "President Costa e Silva Bridge", in honor of the Brazilian president who ordered its construction. "Rio-Niteroi" started as a descriptive nickname that soon became better known than the official name. Today, hardly anyone refers to it by its official name.6. Penang Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Penang Bridge (Jambatan Pulau Pinang in Malay) E 36 is a dual-carriageway toll bridge that connects Gelugor on the island of Penang and Seberang Prai on the mainland of Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula. The bridge is also linked to the North-South Expressway in Prai and Jelutong Expressway in Penang. It was officially opened to traffic on September 14, 1985. The total length of the bridge is 13.5 km (8.4 miles), making it among the longest bridges in the world, the longest bridge in the country as well as a national landmark. PLUS Expressway Berhad is the concession holder which manages it.5. Vasco da Gama Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Vasco da Gama Bridge (Portuguese: Ponte Vasco da Gama, pron. IPA: ['põt(?) 'va?ku d? 'g?m?]) is a cable-stayed bridge flanked by viaducts and roads that spans the Tagus River near Lisbon, capital of Portugal. It is the longest bridge in Europe (including viaducts), with a total length of 17.2 km (10.7 mi), including 0.829 km (0.5 mi) for the main bridge, 11.5 km (7.1 mi) in viaducts, and 4.8 km (3.0 mi) in dedicated access roads. Its purpose is to alleviate the congestion on Lisbon's other bridge (25 de Abril Bridge), and to join previously unconnected motorways radiating from Lisbon4. Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge (commonly known as the Bay Bridge) is a major dual-span bridge in the U.S. state of Maryland; spanning the Chesapeake Bay, it connects the state's Eastern and Western Shore regions. At 4.3 miles (7 km) in length, the original span was the world's longest continuous over-water steel structure when it opened in 1952. The bridge is officially named the William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge after William Preston Lane, Jr. who, as governor of Maryland, implemented its construction. 3. King Fahd Causeway The King Fahd Causeway is multiple dike – bridge combination connecting Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and the island nation of Bahrain.

Ten Longest Bridges In World

A construction agreement signed on July 8, 1981 led to construction beginning the next year. The cornerstone was laid on November 11, 1982 by King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and Sheikh Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa of Bahrain; construction continued until 1986, when the combination of several bridges and dams were completed. The causeway officially opened for use on November 25, 1986.2. Donghai Bridge

Ten Longest Bridges In World

Donghai Bridge (literally "East Sea Grand Bridge") is the longest cross-sea bridge in the world and the longest bridge in Asia. It was completed on December 10, 2005. It has a total length of 32.5 kilometres (20.2 miles) and connects Shanghai and the offshore Yangshan deep-water port in China. Most of the bridge is a low-level viaduct. There are also cable-stayed sections to allow for the passage of large ships, largest with span of 420 m.1. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway

Ten Longest Bridges In World

The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, or the Causeway, consists of two parallel bridges that are the longest bridges in the world by total length.[2] These parallel bridges cross Lake Pontchartrain in southern Louisiana. The longer of the two bridges is 23.87 miles (38.42 km) long. The bridges are supported by over 9,000 concrete pilings. The two bridges feature bascule spans over the navigation channel 8 miles (13 km) south of the north shore. The southern terminus of the Causeway is in Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. The northern terminus is at Mandeville, Louisiana.

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

Have you noticed how the pace of technological developments keeps increasing? Just two decades ago, we barely used computers and phones were everything but smart. The Internet was a matter for science fiction books, and rechargeable batteries were not common at all. And look at us now, with our rechargeable smartphones and global communication systems!

It really makes us wonder… where will we be twenty years from now? Cruising around in flying cars? Instantly teleporting anywhere in the world? Well, maybethat would be a little far-fetched. But here are five futuristic technologiesthat will surely go main-stream before 2030.

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

Stereoscopic 3D is all the rage these days, and we believe these systems will be predecessors to fully accomplished holographic imaging technologies. With the increased sophistication of screens that create the illusion of 3D on a flat surface, it's just a matter of time until the technology evolves to a point where the same kind of illusion can be conjured with projectors. For there to the development of commercial-grade holographic imaging technology, it will surely be a short leap.

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

E-book readers such as the Amazon Kindle were among the most interesting innovations in the past years. And while the e-Ink technology looks very much like real paper, we feel like it is still quite rudimentary compared to the future possibilities. It shouldn't be long at all before we get real electronic paper; i.e. paper that looks like a screen, as opposed to a screen that looks like paper. Can you imagine having a poster in your wall that works like a screensaver, or an e-book reader that looks like a leather bound book?

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

Even though computers keep getting faster each year in terms of processing speed, and despite the fact that SSD drives are really speeding up disk access time, let's face it… it's still annoying to wait when your computer runs slow loading heftier applications or rebooting the system. Thanks to new types of memory and storage such as the Memristor, this scenario will eventually change: within a decade or so, the first genuine instant-on computers should arise.

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

We have seen massive improvements in terms of autonomy allowed by rechargeable batteries; there are already laptops that last nearly 24 hours on a single charge. But that is still child's play, compared to the potential that will be available from new types of battery currently in development. Groups of researchers have already created evolved rechargeable batteries with a vastly superior performance to what is already available. Some of these batteries have the potential to carry twenty times more juice, with blazing fast charging times.

Futuristic Technologies That Should Arise by 2030

If you have one of the latest smartphones available, you have probably noticed how its processor is faster than what was available in desktop computers just five years ago. As hardware engineers devise smaller and smaller chips, it's likely that smartphones will trail even closer to regular computers. And eventually… there will no longer be a point to make a distinction. The time will come when our smartphones will double as desktop computer, with massive storage and the option to synch with external keyboards and screens.

What do you think about these predictions? Do you have a different idea of where technological development will take us in the next twenty years? If so, don't hesitate to share your opinions through the comment box.

iPad 3 to Launch in March or April 2012, Will It Be Transparent? (VIDEO)

iPad 3 to Launch in March or April 2012, Will It Be Transparent? (VIDEO)

If the rumors are to be believed, Apple's next-generation iPad 3tablet will launch sometime around March or April of 2012.

DigiTimes is reporting that the iPad 3 will launch within the next three to four months. iPad 2 production remains high, somewhere in the 15-million unit range during the fourth quarter, but Apple will decrease iPad 2 orders to around 5 million units in the first quarter of next year, according to reports.

Foxconn will supposedly build between about 9 million iPad 3 units in the first quarter, with production ramping up in February.

Earlier reports suggested that the iPad 3 would launch in February, but it now appears that's been delayed by a month or two.

What will the iPad 3 look like? Well, that's where things get interesting. Some reports indicate that the iPad 3 could be a bit thicker than the iPad 2, mainly to accommodate the new Retina display. Still other reports indicate that the iPad will be a transparent device.

The concept video below predicts that the iPad 3 will weigh about 0.6 pounds, have 16GB of storage space, a battery life of 10 hrs, and 3G connectivity. The "holygraphic" screen will create a new user experience that will be "the perfect blend of performance and awesomeness."

Dakota Adney, the creator the iPad3 video below, might be thinking of the iPad 10 if you ask me. It's not likely that the iPad 3 will be transparent. For one thing, where's the battery?

Anything is possible, however, as we do know that some transparent tablets are being developed overseas.

There are also rumors swirling indicating that Samsung will unveil a new tablet computer with a Retina-topping display resolution at Mobile World Congress in February.

Samsung is expected to beat the iPad 3 to market with a launch soon after the new tablet's unveiling.

More below.
